Second Strategic Planning Workshop of FET Managers and Programme Coordinators

Another productive day was held in Westpark, Shannon on 19th of November 2014. This was the second workshop of Managers and Programme Coordinators, whose discussions will contribute to a draft LCETB FET Service Strategic Framework 2015-2020. The draft will be circulated to all FET Staff before Christmas for consultation and feedback. We’ll keep you posted!

New QQI Award Brand Guidelines

Please find attached communication from QQI on the introduction of the new “QQI Award” brand. It is extremely important that all centres fully read and comply with the Award Brand Guidelines attached here, and that any references to the former FETAC logo or the recent transitional logos be removed from all future documentations.

QQI are now putting in place permanent arrangements and have been developing a sub-brand portfolio. This will clearly designate the distinct relationships QQI has with providers and learners, for example, in respect of:

*Awarding the International Education Mark (IEM) to provider

*Conducting institutional quality reviews of provider

*Validating programmes for providers

*Making awards to learners

The new logo replaces “FETAC – Awarded by QQI” and “HETAC – Awarded by QQI” brands which should be withdrawn and replaced by the new logo on all literature and electronic information from August 2014. Please note, the former FETAC and HETAC awards are still recognised at the appropriate levels in the National Framework of Qualifications.

Please see below for guidelines on logo usage. Further information on QQI’s sub-brand identities will be available in due course

QQI Award Logo

The QQI Award logo is separate from the QQI corporate logo. Use of the QQI corporate logo on a provider’s literature or electronic information is forbidden.

Revised National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ)

The ‘NFQ fan’ diagram and logo have been updated and are available for use, where appropriate. Reference to the former awarding bodies “FETAC” and “HETAC” has been removed and replaced by “QQI”.
